United Village Global (UVG) is formed by and for its member organizations:
companies and learning institutions that share a mission to empower youth in or around villages and townships to stabilize, grow, and prosper. UVG seeks to leverage the village’s social infrastructure as a foundation for stabilizing, growing, and generating surpluses from manufacturing and exporting in a sustainable development approach.
UVG acts as an umbrella for its members to integrate and mobilize building and infrastructure systems that will enable local stakeholders to own and operate these assets and introduce local products and services to a global and circular value chain, without waste.
It is all about people: stabilizing (giving hope), growing (giving faith), and prospering (giving back). We focus on projects that solidify local teams and can provide hands-on vocational training to youth, tomorrow’s leaders, in replicating an alternative model for sustainable prosperity in a three-step and bottom-up process: stabilize, grow, and prosper. This is an alternative to the top-down, Our Common Future (1986) definition of sustainable development
We, the UVG members, are going after a booming marketplace for African brands developed by the village economy for a global and circular value chain. Every project will be designed, planned, and delivered for replication in sister villages. UVG is a vehicle for larger donor organizations and investors to deliver integrated solutions in the following areas, leveraging our members’ existing products and services:
